A very stupid question

For 2005 stat cards, do the bonuses on the back add to the cost, or explain some of the cost (ex. a hero has to pay 17 cp instead of 14 to get a heroic ego, otherwise he is an improved minifig)? THis has been bugging me for some time...it would be great if somebody could answer it!

my floppy penis's sentence is short enough to be easily misenterpreted.
The +(number) CP cost listed on a minifig's stat card is basically there to show how much it would cost adding that ability to another minifig. A hero without an ego, for example, would only cost 11cp instead of the normal 14.
