Another Way is to take 3 dots (studs) of lego as an hinch... like in the rulebook
so you can build easily a measuring brick bar... its very funny

True, but 3x5=15
15<16
Your charatcer could move more!!!Let him run, for his own amusement, untill a human overlord crushes him.

For those of you not familiar with "The Hangry Hinch"...
And here's how to build it:
One really nice method of measuring mentioned in the 2001 rules was to make knots at 1 hinch intervals on a piece of string. That way you can measure around objects and stuff.
Now that I think about it, it would be nice to tie one of these

to each end of the string so that you could fasten it to the battlefield and keep it taut.

Imagine you needed ONE STUD to win a campaign battle that took 2 months and a half to finish. You have just the last minifig, only with his left arm holding the jewel that is the key to win the quest.
You even tried to sprint, but you rolled 1. Unfornately, by another modifier, you lost one inch of Move.
That makes 5 inches, counting as 15 studs. You go and...1 more stud and were in the safety of the ally castle!!!
But...
If you choosed to have it 15 studs, you were killed by one rifleman because you ended up diyng in the front of the ally castle.
Bu hu hu hu
EDIT: inches...

Fear the hangry hinch
Its not important to win for me as long as my minifgs die in a honorably way in battle
And in a game both players normally use the same mesauring unit be it centimeter, inches or studs... and its a good way to guess your movement rating, if you always loose your measurement tape like me

actually i'm fairly certain that each stud is one centimeter long. i think this may even be an exact measurement, too!

No, they're 8mm wide and 1cm tall. It's too bad.
