Does anyone have suggestions for Quikwars automatic fire rules? IVhorseman's are no good here, and I don't want to just switch games.
Please?

1st shot uses normal rolls, -1 to skill roll for every successive shot (to a minimum of 1)
Came up with these on the spot, so iunno if they'd work.

If you want to get that in depth, just play Brikwars. It's really not that much more than Quikwars anyway.

@ Aoffan: Thanks, I think I understand.
@ OneEye: The problem is that I play with people who haven't got the time or attention span for the 70+ pages in the 2005 version, and especially not the 130+ pages in the 2001 version. The two page QuikWars does decidedly better at introducing, and then it's a lot easier to add than to change entirely.
Any other suggestions?

Well, it's either you use the autofire rules or you don't. They're the autofire rules for a reason; they're the easiest and best way to do it.

What are these "rules" you speak of? I thought we were using our imaginations.

if it's quickwars, just have guys with automatics shoot twice.
but you should really just be playing standard brikwars if you're trying to differentiate things that specific, it's really not much more complicated

It's not a matter of complexity, per se; I can absorb it, sure, but my friends aren't wargamers, and there's ussually not a lot of time.
I'll give it a shot though...

If you can't cope with this, you'd have
no chance with Games Workshop.

No one is listening to me.
I, meaning ME, have no trouble at all with them. My FRIENDS, however, have little patience and less attention span.
I said I'd give it a go next chance I got, so stop telling me to!

I have an idea then.
step 6:YOU learn the rules
step 7: you "teach" (what is their to teach?) your friends them.
step 8: ???????
step 9: PROFIT!!!
step 10: economic downturn.

I. SAID. I. WOULD. SO. STOP. TELLING. ME. TO.
Can I make this any more clear?
