Same with your other question of the rules.

If you can't find it, make it up.

EDIT: Crud, sorry. Should've let someone else take this one. Some people love yelling at newbies with these questions. I calmly explain,...the first time.

seriously? is the only point of the forums to trade nonsensical banter? Have you tried to searching through the forums looking for something useable? ugh.

If we are supposed to make it up, why Brikwars in the first place? the existance of a ruleset justifies the point that there are rules.

as a noob, I am looking to borrow on the wisdom of the existing community to speed up my immersion into the community. as a side note I am looking to run an event at a con in 2011 and I would like to represent the conventions of the community as opposed to my own.

I simply fudge, and use a ninety degrees L shape, made from two long plates. I put it with its corner to the weapons end, the measure the weapons range.

@sirchristopher2

Precisely. There are rules in the rulebook. If it isn't in the rulebook, it isn't a rule. If you want a rule, make a rule.

Brikwars isn't for you. Try 40K.

The rules are a set of guidelines that you start with.
You can use the ones you want, throw out the ones you don't like, or add ones you do like. Takes for example the Juggernaut cannon, it is an explosive launcher with infinate ammo. This breaks the rules in Chapter Three: Minifig Weapons, but goes with the 'Proper Observance of Rules' section of Chapter 1

If you want more rules to cover as much as possible and not have to make up some of it, take a look at the 2001 rules.

Brikwars is .01% following rules, 9.99% making stuff up, and 102% mucking about. Most of the rules I use are original, or heavily modified versions of pre-existing stuff.
This game-- Nay, construction toys in general-- are all about imagination. If you don't have one, this is not the game for you.

That's absolutely correct. Every evening I go through the latest posts from the day and delete about a hundred. Usually they're just Silverdream's, but when I spot any useful posts instead, I delete those first.

You are absolutely right. That's why so much of the ruleset is dedicated to instructing you not to follow the rules.

No it isn't, don't be stupid.
No, it isn't the only point. Sometimes we're supposed to actually give meaningful conversation, like in the Armory. Other times we're supposed to give frustrating and sometimes pointless conversation, like when dealing with n00bs, newbies, douches, etc. Though I'm guessing you probably see this as pointless.

EDIT: I'm talking to the thread starter, not Sylvie

EDIT: Also, to actually answer your original question, no, I myself haven't come up with any, nor have I seen any. Good luck looking

LAST EDIT: And take a look at the thread "Attn: Newbies" in this forum.
