I guess I could give this stat building thing a shot

Battle Arachnoid

-Infantry-
1x Robo-Pilot 4cp

-Mini-Robot-
size 1
structure 0
base cost .5
armor 1d6
propulsion 5" (2.5cp)
Mind +2 (3cp)
claws (2cp, basic hand weapon)
*TOTAL: 8cp

-Battle Arachnoid-
size 3
structure 1
base cost 3
armor 1d10
propulsion 12" (6cp)
*TOTAL: 9cp

-Mech Weapons-
2x chainsaw
size 1
cost 2 each
use 2
range CC
damage 1d6

2x Small Cannon
size 2
cost 6 each
use 6
range 12"
damage 2d6
*WEAPONS TOTAL: 20

GRAND TOTAL: 41cp

The idea is the the "mini-robot" acts as a gunner while mounted on the mech, hence the +2 to help with the cannons.

So, thoughts?

I like it alot!
The chainsaws could/should be used from the old rule set, but other than that the mech looks pretty good.

do you really need +2 to help fire big guns though? you've effectively given this guy the equivalent of 1d10 skill. i know UR 6 looks daunting, but so is 2d6 damage. the idea is that bigger guns are for bigger targets, so you could set those chainsaws to sawing via chains, and those guns to deal with larger targets (horses, jeeps, etc.).

you could also play with those trans-green cones right in the pincers. they'd make a good anti-infantry gun.

Hey, I just noticed that.
The mini-con might tip the scales if the double Deuces are hitting too much. Especially for the low price under 50.

The little bugger could help with mobility, or tune the skill boost to a +1.

Otherwise, I'm out of helpful hints at the moment.

i wouldn't even give it any tune boosts at all. i know you're thinking "BUT IV, ROBOTS ARE CLEARLY SUPERIOR TO HUMANS LOL". they may be smarter, but they're less dexterous/able to reason/ etc. etc. instead, i propose a quick set of robot generic, on the fly, robot cliches. they should be mostly situationally specific and only really affect certain quick instances, such as:

+ robots are unfeeling, and therefore cannot redshirt to save heroes, or be redshirtted for, under any circumstances.

+robots bleed highly flammable oil instead of blood

+robots cannot calculate the value of pi without going beserk

i'm sure you could think of some good ones to tack on when the situation would arise. just picture every old science fiction movie with robots: The Day the Earth Stood still, and Lost in Space come to mind off the top of my head.

It's a mayhem thing, and that's all that matters.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.
