Transformers.

I recently saw the new Transformers movie. It was really Brikwars, except for that one bit where they decided to focus on the humans than two Giant Robots having a rooftop duel. :???:

Anyways, While watching the movie, a few thoughts popped into my head:

6.In the climax of the film,
Spoiler

Lockdown uses a tractor beam to lift and drop loose objects. How could I represent that in Brikwars? Is there an SN dice spell for that?
7. How would I use a Transformer in Brikwars. The only idea I could think of would be to stat its forms, take the average of their CP, and that would be its cost. Then, at the start of each turn, the Transformer can pick which form to be in.

8.Multi-use weapons,like the
Spoiler

GunSword that Yeager loots from Lockdowns ship
, how could I represent them?

6. You could do that in a number of ways with SN dice. I'd probable set up the lift radius with a couple d10s, then use a SN d6 to lift everything in that area.

7. Your idea sounds ok, but I'd suggest stating it out as a robot and them buying the extra parts needed for the alt-mode (So Optimus would be a size x robot, plus the cost of some wheels). It's easier to calculate cost, and you'd probably need less CP since you don't need to pay for two separate models.

8.Tricky. The easiest way would be to buy both, and have the combined weapon be able to make either attack. Another option would be to buy however many weapons you want, and them have the transformer deploy and use them as needed. I think that idea is a better fit, since the transformers in the movies usually don't have all their weapons out, only deploying them when they're needed.

I've heard that the movie is literally such a long continuous action scene that it's actually really tough to tell what the hell is going on, but I digress.

6.) There aren't any specific "dice spells," so make up whatever you feel like. Battlegrinder's suggestion works fine.

7.) I want to say that transforming costs an action, but I'm not positive on that. If you play with CP, then buy CP for the needed parts and propulsion but don't worry about spending extra to "balance" something as cool as a transforming robot/car.

8.) I always just buy combined weapons as both weapons. So, a gun with a bayonet is the cost of a rifle plus the cost of a melee weapon of the total size. You only get one action a turn anyways, so the minifig/whatever is probably only using one function of a multi-function weapon at a time. If you for some reason have multiple actions, I see no reason why you couldn't stab and shoot simultaneously.

For transforming stuff, just pay for whichever form is more expensive, and have it cost an Action to transform. That usually takes care of any balance issues just fine.

I was totally thinking about making suggestions, but then other people covered my thoughts, eventually.
Nimja must have psykikally heard me thinking over the beige carpet.

The Beige Carpet is like the Void in Warhammer 40K. Its where all the psychos draw their power from but at the same time all the Control Lords reside their with their highly Organized armies of Auditors and Actuaries.
