Commandos

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't find a commando topic.
I just use officer stats, but 6 pts and no leadership.
what do you use?

just elite units, no official stats, but they are used <a href='http://tinyurl.com/y42zurt'>alot</a>.

He means a minifig who's generally flat out "better" than his comerades, but not quite heroes.
Most people just use officer stats. I just use minifigs with 1d8 skill.

Actually, we could go deeper into this. Let's say you can only have 1 commando per 5 regular troops on your army, because they're ELITES and not everyone is ELITE.
Unless it's an ELITE team. Then you can ONLY have commandos. What if the other team is an ELITE team too? I think it means more accurate shots.

I do not use CP. So I guess my rule is fair for non-CP players.

I usually go with moderate increases to skill, move, and armor, and give them heavy weapons and special gear like jet packs or parachutes.
Also, under my house rules Ninjas don't have Stupendous Feats, but they do have skill bonuses, Spider Gymnastix, and dual-wielding ability with smaller weapons. I have a few Ninjas which I use as commandos.

Commandos can also be a group of light troops that go in before a main group of trooups and secretly take over buildings related to an invasion of sorts.

Because I like big, matching armies and squads I just use Officers for my stronger troops.
I do have a few stronger units in my PRA army, but I have yet to give everyone in the PRA their own stats.

By defenition, commandos are just any troop used for raiding operations.
So technically, they're not nessecarily anything special.
