So I was thinking about a way to give minifigs huge guns. I know heavies exist, but here's an alternate idea: Power Packs. Power packs give any unit +1 inch of Power per element. They also cost 1 unit inch per xsize, and 6 CP per xsize.

why wouldn't I just spend that unit inch on a one inch larger unit though

because you made a fukkin sweet 3" gun and you want your robo superheavy to carry it

You don't need a special creation to modify heavies like this. You can use creation mods to add +1 power at the cost of 1U".

Giving the figs a physical power pack is just icing on the cake - a kanonical reason for the creation mod. Also, it sounds like they blow up if you shoot them? Seems like a worthy cause to me.

That's how I've always done it. Just say it's bigger.
