Any old timers or youngins ever play CarWars by Steve Jackson Games?

I have been using Brik Kars, weaponized Speed Champions Lego series.

The Kars are like 1\30 scale....pondering minis, maybe 1\150 scale...with post apocalyptic large battles a la The Road Warrior. Thoughts? Comisseration?

Sure, Car Wars was pretty great.

Might I suggest you check out Gaslands if you haven't already? Super awesome game.

Anyway, yeah, I was going to run a Brikrace kind of event at some point. Just never got around to it.

Gaslands looks pretty cool.
It seems to borrow heavily, but what car based game wouldn't?

I would love to have a duel to work some kinks out of gameplay and rules.

Ferrari F40 with skilled driver...I kind of want to adapt the old CarWars sheet for Brik-Kar Wars....thoughts?

I'm too swamped to dig into the mechanics of it myself now but I'd love to see what you come up with.

I played Carmageddon and Mario Kart, does that count?

Which reminds me, LEGO Friends has a sub-theme that's a competitive kart racing game complete with upgrades like stud launchers, spikes and a turbo engine that runs on bio-fuel (assuming from the plants in the device). I bought both the race track and tuning garage sets when they were on sale and I'm surprised to see a lot of useful pieces and bricks.
