RPGs
Have you ever played a RPG using Brikwars combat system?
Like, build the scenarios and play solo to win quests and/or build your character's personality?
Probably you did.
This is the thread to share it.
I am thinking of doing something like KOTOR, but i'll write down what happens. Don't stop posting!

Since i have nothing to do right now, i will write a possible scenario for the start of my game:
Your sigfig has one blaster pistol and he is in a space cruiser. Your stats are:
Skill: 2d6-2 Armor: 2d6-2 Move: 7"
You are sleeping, when someone knocks at the door of your room. You get up, and go open it. On the other side, 3 battle droids appear and shoot at you.
You battle them, and you manage to kill them all.
Then, you pick one of their weapons. (you can only carry what you take in your hands or on your backpack. Your things don't go to the fourth dimension and appear when you need them, you know?)
Now you have 2 Blaster Pistols, and head to the escape pods. During your quest for the escape pods' site, you find 3 waves of battle droids:
1st: 1 BD
2nd: 2 BDs
3rd: 2 BDs
You make it to the escape pods. You are aided by another soldier, whose stats are the following:
Skill: 1d10-1 Armor: 1d6+2 Move: 7"
The escape pod is jettisoned and you go to the planet above's surface...
Yes, this was heavily inspired on the beggining of KOTOR.

You gave me a good idea...*CRAZYHORSE* wrote:When I read RPGs I thought 'Oh cool Rocket Propelled Grenade launcher" but when I read that it was about roll playing games I lost my interest.

I'm working on a system for roleplaying characters, level-ups and stuff like that. Probably won't be too long before I finish.

I'm planning a campaign for this summer which will involve probably 5-7 battles. We've got a little framework for a system which will allow figures that survive a battle to gain promotions. Each battle survived would give one promotion, which could be +1 Armor, +1 to Skill Rolls, +2" Movement, or special abilities. I put most of my infantry on 2x4 plates (don't have enough base-plates here to cover the battlefield), and a promotion would be marked by putting a 1x1 dot on the units base.

Re: RPGs
I tried, turned out to be a complete failure. Brikwars is more about hugebattles, and doesn't really focuse on individuals (unless you give each of your troops unique personalities). Try brickquest, I never did, but it looks well thought out.pesgores wrote:Have you ever played a RPG using Brikwars combat system?
