Finally got around to it. Tell me what you think.

BrikWars: Power Levels
[BrikWars+Ninjago]
by Ross_Varn
The newly released Ninjago spinner game released by LEGO uses ninja power levels to play cards. This BrikSpansion for the wargame Brikwars [by Mike Rayhawk, 2005/10 versions] gives Power Leveling enabled Minifigs the ability to play Ninjago cards in BrikWars and do battle in Ninjago as well.

New BrikWars Speciality!
+4 cp : Power Leveling - The Minifig must either have an Ego or level pts in Stealth/Ice to use Power Leveling.
There are 4 Powers that can be enabled- Attack/Fire, Speed/Storm, Defense/Earth, and Stealth/Ice. 10 pts can be spread around the Power Levels, with no more than 5 pts in each.
Attack/Fire gives a bonus to Damage Rolls.
Speed/Storm gives a bonus to Movement Inches.
Defense/Earth gives a bonus to Defense Rolls.
Stealth/Ice gives a bonus to Skill Rolls, and must have at least one point for non-ego minis to use Power Leveling.
The minifig gains +1 to the BW stat for every 2 pts in the corresponding Power Level. Maxing a level to 5 gains you +3 to the corresponding bonus.
-These Stats can now be used in Ninjago-

Playing Ninjago with Power Leveled Minifigs : Choose two Medium Melee weapons and place by the Minifig’s NinjaStatCard. Select a Special Medium Melee weapon [usually shiny] and use as this character’s Golden Weapon, allowing him to use Special gold cards. Hijack someone else’s spinner and play as normal. Keep in mind that playing with Short or Long Melee weapons will sometimes quite literally imbalance the game, and playing with Ranged weapons is just silly.

Playing Brikwars with Power Leveled Minifigs : If the owner of a Ninjago deck wishes to, he can shuffle his cards and place them face up on the side of a Brikwars game. All Power Leveling enabled minis on the field can now use the card face up as their turn’s action, as long as they have the required stat. Once a card is used, it goes face down next to the pile and the next card is exposed. Once the deck runs out, the Ninjafarce has lost interest and left the area. Golden Weapons are not required to use Golden Cards.
Card Categories :
-Fight : Swords Symbol : Adds 1d10 to Mini’s next attack.
-Confuse : Swirl Symbol : All enemies targeting this Mini next or this turn take -1d10 to Skill.
-Trap : Explosion Symbol : Plants an Explosion that has 1d10 exp. Damage, range of 4”, Explodes whenever the player wants it to.
-Defense : Brick Symbol : Adds 1d10 to the Mini’s next Defense roll.
-Meta : Hand Symbol : Any one of the above.

I saw the title and thought,

IT'S OVER 9000!!!

Now that that's over with, I must say, good, well thought rules.

You should try editing one on a netbook.

They're huge so that they'll look decent when you print them. Feel free to shrink them for screen size.

Looks fantastic Ross.

Just a point of order about the Power Leveling ability, though. So are you saying it is only possible to have +1 or +3 added to a given stat? Read literally, it appears that 1 pt. in Ice grants no bonus, 3 pts. in Ice grants 1d6+1, and 5 pts. in Ice grants 1d6+3. Is that correct?

Or did you mean 1pt in Ice grants 1d+1, 3pts in Ice grants 1d6+2, and 5 pts in Ice grants 1d6+3?

Just curious because at first I thought you meant the second option, but reading the stat-card makes it sound like option one is how it actually works.

heh

Good to see someone else is paying attention.
I was waiting to see if anyone noticed.

I read it as option 1. Which of course makes no sense.

I printed it out, sat down to read it, and went bolt upright in my chair. "DAMMIT!" That should read "every two", not "every three", you damned idiot! That's how the OP reads.

Thanks guys.

Alright; that makes a lot more sense now. Thanks for the clarification.

I think if you're doing a campagn or a long battle, you should be able to level up your points if the mini does something all players agree was awesome.

I'm liking this idea!
