Hi, I watched it, who cares whether every single detail was correct? They already made it, and you had to ask them to change when they were still making it, so you should have told them it didn't work before they made it.
Iran will be the world's Luke Skywalker

Check out Anno!

Why are people complaining about Rey using the force? Does nobody remember Luke blocking laser shots with his eyes covered after only like one sentence given to him by Obi-Wan? The Force is a living thing and some people have an easier time connecting to it than others.

In other words, Rey was not using the force, but instead letting the force guide her, as is taught by the Jedi.

^THIS^

I can already remember two things off the top of my head that showed up in the trailers but didn't show up in the actual film.

Now, that we are talking about different cuts of that new flick...

Does anyone of you know a good way to get a copy of the original cut of the OT movies, without special edition stuff put in?

I've just heard that the way Rey gains her Force skills is through her connection with Ren. Every time she shows new skills it's a variant of something he just did to her.

Nah, burn wounds can bleed pretty badly, even if the surface is cooked well done. Sub-surface blisters growing and bursting, or motion of any kind really, can tear that singed tissue right open no problem
I'm still skeptical, but what you're saying makes sense. It took some time for him to catch up to Rei and considering the rate at which she was moving, the motion probably would've opened up the wound again.

The only thing I don't see yet is dead stormtroopers lying around in pools of blood.

There was that Stormtrooper at the beginning that was bleeding into his own hands.

All in all I liked this movie, I just wish the villains were cooler. Captain Silva definitely seems like the new Boba Fett in this trilogy, in terms of looking cool but not doing much.

@ all the nerds complaining about how Finn and Rey beat Ren so easily:

maybe Ren just isn't that good at lightsabering

I mean against foes who aren't inanimate computer consoles

also maybe they had previous CC weapon training but let's all ignore those parts of the movie
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

Just saw it. Really liked it. I was wondering how well the entire new cast would feel in the movie alongside the entire old cast, but they paced it in a way that didn't feel like character overload.

I think stubby's right about Rey learning force powers from Ren. When he was trying to manipulate her mind, she just tried to fight back.

The mind trick on the guard was a bit forced, but I'm willing to forgive on the grounds that she clearly knew the "myth" of Luke Skywalker, and by extension the Jedi. There were probably stories of mind tricks and she decided to try it. Honestly though, given the guard's tone of voice, I think it could just as easily have been an exasperated Stormtrooper who just gave up. And who's to argue when he says "the super important prisoner mind tricked me, oh no!" Guy probably just wanted to take a much-needed nap or something.

And the lightsaber scene makes perfect sense. She saw Ren was trying to grab it, so she decided to try as well. Not like she could have done anything against him without a weapon.

Also WHY DID NO ONE SHOOT REN WHEN HE HAD REY. Three characters, all of whom had guns, had an easy shot at his back. But sure let's run at the ship and drop the blaster.

A few miscellaneous details I noticed:
Spoiler
Show
- During the lightsaber fight at the end, the sabers kept making contact with the snow, but they didn't edit it to show the snow melting. It was clear they were using prop swords that just kicked up snow when they were swung

- When Rey is coming back from the Star Destroyer on her speeder, the left side with the net clearly drags behind, and the speeder travels almost diagonally. This was a really nice touch.

- When the new sun is formed, won't the gravity all around it be messed up? Won't orbits of anything anywhere remotely near that thing be out of whack? They'll probably just gloss over this, but I'm fine with that because honestly who cares?

- How did BB-8 get back up those damn stairs?! Maz definitely couldn't lift him, so he must have jet boots like R2-D2.
