I've trolled before. But every time they update it there are no improvements AND I have to reset my password because I don't know what the fuck it is. I'd be happier if like you could update Skype but it still remember the PW so I don't have to fuck around with my e-mail and reset it again and again every time Microflop discovers yet another Day 0 bug in their shitware.

I did some more research into based on the skype chat we had the other night. Founder of Discord is Jason Citron, who was the founder of a service called "OpenFeint", a program intended to serve as a hub for games and social media (similar to the purpose of Discord). In 2011 OpenFeint was sued for allegations including computer fraud, invasion of privacy, breach of contract, bad faith and seven other statutory violations. Immediately after that Jason Citron sold the product to a japanese mobile game company and was not heard from again until he released Discord. The company is very tight lipped about how they are able to fund their service and say that when the need arises for more money they will make it by selling themes/stickers/emoticons for their desktop client. As for how they have the money to continue now, all they will say is that they were "funded in Silicon Valley". Any mention of the fact that their previous service was sued for a shit load of problems will be deleted on the official subreddit as soon the post is found by one of the moderators. People who complain about the vagueness of their terms of service are told that they will be updated to prove they don't sell your data, but a look at the official TOS page (https://discordapp.com/tos) shows it hasn't been updated since september 2015.

I realize this is going to turn into a repeat of the other night where everyone laughs at me for caring about this kind of thing and I'm not under the impression everyone is going to be as paranoid with their technology as I am but I was told I should post this here anyway if this kind of thing leaves a bad taste in your mouth like it does for me. If you're going to use Discord all I ask is that you be careful about the kind of information you send through it. anyone who wants to talk to me still can find me on the other forms of social media you have me added on

You're supposed to write your password down irl tho. That's what the experts say.
