That's a real claymore sheath, not one of those fake full-length ones. as someone who does renfaire, I approve.

It came with a full length sheath as well, but I only use it for storage since it doesn't have any way you can wear it. I carried the claymore around a medieval themed Manly Santa Day party once and just propped it on my shoulder for a few hours, which made my shoulder pretty sore the next day. I decided after that I needed to get a real baldric to carry the claymore around with. Even with the baldric though, the claymore felt way heavier than the chainmail I was wearing. Even though it was heavier and was over 30lbs, the weight of the armor was more evenly distributed to the point I didn't really feel the weight of it at all.

It's what chainmail is meant to do. Besides, when going into battle, normally they wouldn't have a sheath at all. If you could afford a claymore, you could afford someone to carry it for you. I prefer a cavalry crossword myself. Easier to carry around, and it fits with the Scottish border reavers we play.

Hilt. Hilt is the best sword. Go watch the For Honor trailer and join me in pondering the use of a sword hilt as a pick axe.
Ask now what I'm doing, even for me :mystery:

Sword hilts were often used to hit other people in heavy armour.
