Disk Cleanup
My free memory had dropped from 180ish GB to 166GB.
So I figured it was time to clean things out.
C/properties/diskcleanup
Then I hit the button for system file cleanup.
So eventually after a lot of waiting it tells me I could get back 14GB, so sweet, I hit the button.
The progress bar moved 25% in one minute and then just sat there for maybe 8 more minutes, then just disappeared.
So I'm thinking its done or totally broken with no error panel.
I see no regained memory, I shut down wait 4 minutes and restart.
"Configuring Windows"
"don't turn off your computer"
then
"Configuring Windows"
"100% complete"
"don't turn off your computer"
So I wait ... for 12 minutes, I had my coat on ready to go for a walk on a 25F degree day to scream at the turkeys.
Then it changed to":
"Cleaning Up"
"don't turn off your computer"
So I left, at least it didnt seem to be broken.
I get back after a very short walk, I saw turkeys, about 12 more minutes had gone by and the desktop popped on.
It had freed up 16GB.
During that process I could see the harddrive light flashing irregularly so I figured it was doing something.
But when things take so long it really makes you think you broke it.
TLDR
I downloaded 16GB of hard drive space from a website.
Ask me how.
don't turn off your computer!!!
I imagine Shadowscythe waiting for 24+ minutes in startup, to get to the desktop and chewing his own arm off.

>Filled old boot drive with dank memes and vidya
>Did a project on forensic drive imaging
>Will add drives from project to computer to fill with dank memes and vidya
Your method might be more sustainable, but mine is less frustrating.
