What are your opinions about naval brik kombat? The forum needs more ship-boarding styled battles, or even just naval battles on their own scale. I dunno, just let me know what your thoughts are on that, ship combat systems, or even just ship building in general. Have a good one.

I like to think of space combat, but only on a 2-D plane. Also, propulsion elements like sails are less vulnerable to size damage (especially if they are over several inches in size) rather than being quickly destroyed. If there is a big hole in your sail, it would be harder to hit the remaining sections (so targeting it becomes harder as its effective size goes down). I think this is an actually underused but potentially epic form of Brik Kombat. I should go build some boats now.

One of my upcoming factions is naval based. There was a pretty cool forum battle set on two ships but I don't remember how long ago.
I think awesome naval battles happen so rarely on the forums because they require so much space for such a long time.

Darkstorm:
Mmm, build dem boats, for inspiration, I'd suggest either war of 1812 gunboats (those are insanely tedious) or watching The Great War's battle for lake Tanganyika.
Diekenes22:
I think I know which one you're talking about, the one with the queen Anne's revenge, right? What style or era are you going for with your naval faction?

Ok, so I think I will make this into some sort of forum battle or something, either of you guys want first dibs on it? (I mean those that have posted about this, and especially DJ Squidley, as he came up with the idea)

I'd be delighted, thank you! I'm also trying to build the ships, but with the prefab hulls from city sets. I also made a Belgian steam powered trade barge which doubles as a boarding craft.

I'd love to be in on it too, if there's room
