Pike and Shot Canadians

As you may (or may not) know, I am a Canuck, and a legitimately francophone one, too, not just some kid who takes french immersion. And I just thought of a wicked army concept, what if Canada, and Canada alone, was colonised by France much earlier, so it would get much more French influence over English. Now, the army would have a bit of a variation in technologies, as they're in the new world, technology gets there a little bit slower, and there's of course the concept of tradition and economy. So there would be a little bit of variety, so some late medieval stuff, 16th and 17th century would be the main focus, but maybe also a bit of steampunk.

So the faction also has the whole city state vibe going on (because I don't have enough figs to field in one colour), but the city states are obviously like provinces and territories. I hope to include Inuit tribesmen too, at least some small little hunting party, just something to add variety.

You have no idea how crazy we are about the "indigenous" peoples of Canada, I mean, we could not kiss more butt, I support the whole thing, just Trudeau is sucking up way too hard, he's not even listening to what the natives want (whoops, according to Trudeau I'm not supposed to call them that), it's just so he can make himself feel like a better person.

Very sorry for preaching about Canadian political issues, please feel free to leave concepts and ideas. Thank you for checking this out, can't wait to get building. :)

On a serious note, that actually sounds like a pretty cool idea, seems like it could be a lot of fun. I'm think steampunk type goggle wearing dudes immobilizing foes with maple syrup guns, then melee troops closing in and hitting them with baguettes and hockey sticks.

Or dual wielding Bren guns. No, seriously, Britain would have machine gun teams for them, we just had an angry Newfie.

I'm a francophile who does some French immersion. I took French I and our French teacher is moving. If they don't get a replacement then I might have to take online courses for French II since we need 2 years of foreign language.

I'd be nice to move to the French country side.

Also, how about Kanada (it's actually Canada in German I believe and it fits the brikwarsy theme)

Can I get some suggestions for army formatting please? I started this subject for thoughts, not trash-talk.
