Probably better than No Man's Sky.

It'd berate you the whole time you were playing. Like, *burp* stupid piece of shit, what'd you expect from an indie developer? Magic? *burp* why waste money on this dumbass?

Ha that would be perfect. Just add a Rick simulator plug-in to any game.

"Oh what was that? You clicked a button? *burp* Does that make you feel like a big man?

Rick and Morty is good at like showing a lack of value of lots of things, but it's not been good so far at showing what IS valuable.

I hope that eventually the character development that occurs at the end of every episode will sink in properly, and that the writers are just slow boiling it. Character development seems to be constantly reset with every episode, and character arcs are moving glacially.

The only thing on the show that is valuable is Rick's opinion.
*burp*
Unless he is trying to teach you a lesson about not listening to his opinion, and think for yourself.

How? This maybe summarized up 1% of all media.

Wrong. Szechuan Sauce.

Also, the exploration of existential despair is precisely what makes the show a cut above the rest. It very much shows what is valuable and what isn't and endlessly circles the relativity of the idea. Do you even watch the show?

I think I'd agree that the character arcs are slowing but I'd say that they moved at a pretty nice clip before season 3, so I'm okay with that. I particularly like Morty's new attitude, though. It's that subtlety you gotta admire in storytelling. Taking the chance on presenting real characters while trying to maintain the balance of the fact that they're ridiculous cartoons and not overstepping the other way either and having characters unrealistically grow every five seconds.

Looks like the writers read Natalya's mind from the past into the future.
When they wrote that last show.

I watched the first two episodes of this show like a year ago and thought it was cute but can someone of you explain why folks hold it in such high regard?
How much does it stand out from the other adult-orientated cartoons out there?
Does this show also talk about nothing else than sex, violence, profanity and pure shock value (because that's what being adult is definitely all about)?

If you are not interested in "sex, violence, profanity and pure shock value "
Then you might not like this show.

There are plenty of cute cuddly shows around like: We Bare Bears
Which is totally awesome.

Nerd does not live by cute alone.
To show light you must have darkness, so says the magic painter.

Go watch some Metalocalypse.
It blacker than the blackest black times infinity.

Well actually Rick and Morty has been totally crazy this year, each year ups the crazy.

Like I said, I found the first two episodes alright. It's more about pushing these things too hard and offering nothing besides that, rather than including them per say.
10 years ago I used to watch Family Guy frequently but now it seems as if I have grown out of that over the years and I doubt I could stand any of McFarlane's works at this point.

Finished first season but kinda lost track when the second began.

Finished it like 5 years ago but somehow managed to miss out on its special after season 4.

R&M is also very solid science fiction - they do a good job deconstructing all the classic tropes, but still raises interesting questions about our reality through the lens of their crazy fantasies.
