Ironically, I've gone back to manual user validation, which is almost as much work.

Phpbb3 also let me integrate the wiki and the newsfeed with the forum userbase though, which was nice.

On my game's forum I started getting spammers 12 months ago, but no actual users.
So 6 months ago I totally shut off new user registration.
Much more peaceful now.

The Stubby account exists as one account, so it can only be one account.
If there is a rumored "Rayhawk" account it also exists as one account, not two.
No one has ever seen these two accounts in a room.
If the forum accounts exist and end up in a room together, they would probably get into a fist fight, then have sex.

I was assuming the second one.

I figured that during the fight the two accounts that exist realize that they have a lot in common, then one thing leads to another.
