I have always wanted to buy mass numbers of the vehicles from Avatar, and this is my chance. This is probably the closest TLG might ever get to making military sets so go support!
(Project's not mine, btw)
(Also, could the forum redditors and 4chaners post this and hope it gains meme status or something?)

"Meme status?" You can't honestly believe this is going to get any more support than the hundreds (warning: may be lower than 200) of movie sets that are on there?
Good luck with getting support, but this looks worthless to me. I'm out.

I have always been amazed by what stupid things get meme status these days. Anything is possible.

Things can only get meme status if they have mass appeal. This is a double-niche thing; supporters will most likely have to be interested in both Lego and Avatar (Most military builders I've seen go straight for the military projects, but you might get a few who just want the grey vehicles).

Are they boneriffic or something? Lego will never release any straight up military theme- they have to have some licensed excuse to do it and even then there are limits. Grey vehicles are always awesome.
I understand the points argued though. A man can still dream.

Bad movie is bad. Lego would never buy the rights to something for the sole purpose of nice-looking sets.
Even then, the sets would be so grey, they'd look terrible. Lego looks best in color.

Meh. I've seen better MOCs of Avatard. But Lego isn't going to buy the rights to Cameron.

Fix'd. Ridley Scott made Alien.

Assuming Mega Bloks doesn't get those first.
