A Somewhat good idea I came up with.

Post by Bluehawk2000 » Fri Sep 19, 2008 8:39 pm

A few weeks(or months maybe I really don't remeber when, whens not important anyway) back I decided to make some Brikwars capable vehicle and "fig packs" in LDD for myself, a couple hours or days later I thought I should make for everyone else who wants a standardized army and doesn't have access to bricklink nor the patiance for LDD themselves(if you've never used LDD it takes more patience than you think). As a result of the only blak torsos(for custom deals late if I ever get around to it) and it be the colors almost all peices come in the colors are black, light bley, and dark bley thus resulting in me making it into urban camo, so for now I've given the faction the nickname of Urban Assault. They are not built complexly or inovatively for a few reasons limited amount of types of peices of colors used, two keep cost down, and Brikwars doesn't need to be the most beautiful MOCs ever(although the tank should be pretty cool as it's built studs forward to make the top studless)

I not sure if any of you care, but I need help thiking of new vehicles to design so far i've got a hardsuit(which I ordered already) the other stuff is in a list below.

Being designed:
M35 transport truck
Attack/transport helicopter(already shown in another of my topics, very similar to the MI-24)
Light Tank
Light Mech

Being designed but haveing difficulty and may be scraped:
something similar to the MAZ-7310
small flying wing bomber

Finished:
Hard Suit prototype
AA turret

Look up the vehicle designations on wikipedia if you don't know them. for those of you that don't know LDD means Lego Digital Designer and a few years ago a feature was added to it so that you can now purchase the designs. This is not only for me but for other Brikwars players. Wow, I've written two large posts on here(the other being the hover tank thing) but I have trouble writing one paragraph answers in school, odd.

I got LDD when it came out way back when, but was disappointed with the dearth of parts on it... Have they updated it to have more pieces available?

Yeah I believe there's a lot more parts now. However, I think they run out of stock on many pieces. So if you're looking to buy, you may be limited by what's in stock and what's not.

I don't like LDD. Build in real life, for the sake of pete.
I think those stats only apply to non-Mexicans.

I'm building it in LDD because I don't have a large collection of parts or figs so I'm using LDD to get some figs and a few vehicles. It is also for other people to use also.

That was actually the point when I made them was a large coordinated army, I think I said it in the first post, but it's really expensive to do.

Ok, it's an actually good idea if you can buy them. But we all know it's expensive.

Very expensive. It's not a scam by LEGO, it's just that they can't get the cost benefit of mass production.

I recommend looking on eBay for someone just auctioning a set of blocks for your first set of LEGOs.

Hmm... actually I think I'll post a topic about this.

This isn't my first set of legos, it's an attempt at making a large army. I'm aware of why it's expensive, I was saying that it was going to be expensive for me to build a large army.

Edit: My first lego set was the Rock Raiders Chrome Crusher.

Solar Snooper... dudeeeee I used to have the Galactic Mediator ship. It was the first big set I ever got when I was like 5 or 6 for my birthday. this brings back memories!! *sniff* First set I got, can't really tell you it woulda been so long ago, but some sets I got before the Galactic Mediator were like this tiny little Blacktron II set, and a couple of those blue buckets of Lego.
