In plastic boxes, sorted by part type

1huge box for baseplates/massive parts

2 big flat boxes
- 1 for basic bricks(sub sorted by both dimension and color0
- 1 for all plates
5 medium boxes
-Curved parts and larger dishes, sorted
-vehicle parts(wheels, engines, etc),sorted
-Minifig tool and other interesting bits, sorted
-slopes, subsorted
-technic bricks, unsorted
9 small boxes
-tiles
-animal parts and animals
-angled plates and bricks
-1x1 and 2x2 round plates, bricks, and dishes
-"clicky" hinges/jounts
-clips, turntables, and normal hinges
-transparent parts, sorted by color
-don't remember
-don't remember

small cups 1x1 round plates and rods

1 large tackle box holds all minifigs, broken into headger, heads, neckgear,torsos, arms, hands, capes, egs, and printed legs. completed factions are held in plastic baggies

vehicles are all on a shelf

All this fits into a shelving unit.

built stuff: goes on tables/shelves
Very small or specialised peices: goes in a sorter bin for hardware
Peices I have a lot of the same peice of: get stacked together or put in a ziplock bag.
"wall peices" get their own box
"minifigs and creatures" get their own box
"Everything else" is unsorted and goes in 5-6 large bins.
