REALLY like Brick Forge's new "Rigged" system. Most things are compatible with Lego round, hollow, studs (all the larger backpacks and satchels for example) The engineering of the pin and socket is perfect; fits tight yet allows things to rotate and doesn't feel like it will break easily. We've had so many lame gimmick "improvements" or "features" brought to the Lego system over the years it's easy to be jaded and not give things like this a chance... Rigged features are an outstanding improvement and perfectly in line with what many of us love about the Lego system... simple, durable, and most importantly allows flexibility for your imagination.

I'm no a huge WWII Lego fan; not really a focus of my building, gaming, or collecting. However a lot of it can easily translate to other genres. The pouches, bedroll, canister, equipment belt, field suspenders, flame thrower, haversack, rucksack, satchel, supply strap and especially the round clip can easily be used for other settings. I'll be using a lot of them in fantasy table top gaming. I know my kids will use them for all kinds of themed play. It's a wonderful and welcome addition to Lego worth your hard earned money.
