Occasionally on BL someone will be closing their entire store and apply massive discounts.
Last week I ordered this set on BL at a closing store for $12.
If you want to use BL to get a deal, and you aren't ordering minifig parts, try to find a store where you can average at 10¢ or less per piece. I also use that basic metric when buying actual sets to see if they're worthwhile or if the price was just jacked up because it was a licensed theme or had a lot of minifigs or something.
