Re: LUGs
I was a member of TurkLUG (Turkish LEGO User Group) which is closed now.
I am a founding member of IstanLUG (Istanbul LEGO User Group). We have meetings every 2-3 months. We have currently 40-50 active members and the age averge is appr. 25. It is cool to have adult friends who are interested in LEGO stuff as you are. I recommend you to join one if possible.

Re: LUGs
Yeah many of them are interested in the game when I first introduced the game to them. 2 of them are building their own armies but currently both of them own only fantasy armies. We played 2 games with one of them using my own sci-fi armies. Both of them are my close friends now. So you can get to know lot of interesting people and even get close friends. Forum member Brick Burger is one of them who is a really good MOCer.RedRover wrote:Anyone in the group play brikwars?
Other than Brikwars stuff, we are ordering pieces together from Bricklink and from 3rd party parts like Brickwarriors, Brickforge, Brickarms etc. If we order together we split the shipping cost.RedRover wrote:What did you guys do?
We also have the advantage to participate in the LUG-Bulk and LUG-Support which are good ways to buy/get lot of LEGO stuff.
If you have LEGO-fan friends you can play with their toys too. It would be nice to see other peoples MOCs and new sets you don't own yourself in real life.
Re: LUGs
Just made contact with the local LUG. They are into building cities and trains for display purposes. I doesn't sound ideal, but I may go to check it out. I'm going to email the guy back and ask if anyone in the group plays or is open to playing brikwars

Brikwars is my first war game experience, and the only battles I've done have been forum ones.

Huh, where I go to school is really not too far away from Natalya (discounting international borders and what not)stubby wrote:In case anybody hasn't seen it (it's been a little while), the big map of Brikwarriors: http://brikwars.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=11995

Re: LUGs
Heard back from the group, the guy I talked to use to play and he said he thinks there are some members who would be interested. I'm going to check out there next meeting on the 21st
