Two new LDD creations.

Post by Bluehawk2000 » Sun Mar 15, 2009 6:38 pm

These are designed in Lego Digital Designer and will be ordered as soon as I get the money(my birthday at the latest). These in the same theme as my previous troops and hardsuit. If anyone has a better name suggestion than Urban Assualt I'd love to hear it. Now the MOCs themselves. They will have a "realistic" number and letter name soon along with nicknames.

The tank drone was inspired by the Tachicomas from Ghost in the Shell(I've only seen the TV series not the movie). The leg design is a modified design from the Brickshelf user obscurance(link to his page at end of post). It's feet are supposed to look like wheels, if you watch GitS you know what I mean. I don't rally know what the steering wheel on the back is for, any suggestions.

Yes, 4, I am aware this is not a tank for several reasons and I agree with most of them. It is called a tank because it was originally intended to be a light wheeled tank. When that didn't work I just put my new minigun turret design on it. Yes a full mini-fig driver fits in the driver seat, although very tightly(giggity).

If you have nickname suggestions I would like to hear them. These will eventually participate in a Birkwar hopefully. Also any suggestions on other units to make would help.

The drone is impressive.

Why out of 49 people who have looked at this did only one comment? I'm going to try to make a larger manned version of the drone.

Does the turret on the tank rotate?

Which one, there both called tanks. The drone's turret rotates, but it is probably limited if the legs are lifted high enough. The turret on the wheeled thing rotate, but LDD says it can only rotate the front 180 degrees.

The Drone roxors my boxors and the tank is wicked too but I think that it's more of an assault Jeep than a tank.
