For combat sets, I tend to like Best-Lock better than Mega Bloks.

Everyone who buys one of these turds in a box will be so disapointed when they break apart and bend.

So I'm thinking I'll grab the ghost for some grunts, and give a review for the site.

I think Mega Blogs are intended to be constructed with modeling glue like Warhammer models.

...well, making my own tank is fun, but sometimes just deconstructing a already built tank and using it as a base is easier, less resource consuming, and just as fun. I mean, I don't exactly have alot of special parts, so using them sparringly but effectively helps me out.

'Sides, thats the only thing preventing me from building a giant mobile fire base. The Terra Dominatus is as big as it gets for me.

I agree, the Mega Blok sets simply cannot hold a candle to anything a competent builder could make, but some of the parts such as the SMG, shotgun, elites and grunts are, from the pictures, quite good looking. Actually I think they may have done some of this on purpose, note how there aren't any plasma pistols, assault rifles, or M6C's, this is probably because Brickarms makes them.

Or needlers either. Be nice if they made a spartan laser though.

I disagree. I don't like just putting my little spin on things, I like creating something from scratch.

And if you keep buying MegaBloks, you aren't going to get enough of the pieces to be able to make things of your own. It's counter-productive if you wish to someday have a big collection. They come with gigantic pieces that you can only use for one thing and not as many generic pieces.

OneEye, I think they provide a very interesting challenge. Like the HUGE gatling guns, they were slightly cumbersome to find an area to place upon, but I in the end found one and they look quite well on my mech.

Its all truly up to personal preference.

but with lego, you need to work out how to make and fix that gun onto your mech without it falling over.
and you need to workout how to make a cockpit that can fit a minifigure without being too big or weak instead of sticking a POOP on and then putting POOP wings on to make a three piece plane, yer you might of spent 20 minutes looking for the plane wing but we don't care.

This little argument is never going to be settled. It's like comparing Ford or GM to Lambourghini or Ferrari; on the one hand you can have a domesticcar that goes from one point to another, may look cool incertain situations, and is comparitively cheap, but on the other hand you can have a foreigncar that moves like lightning and is flashy technical genius but costs a billion times more.

You have the cheap simple solution or the expensive shiny solution. I would go expensive and shiny any day of the week myself :)
