it could be that the squidface is a move to a dutchman crewmember, but the dutchman doesn't have any fishpeople after the third movie,
and negablox has sets for pirates 1 - 3 . . . is it legal to do it indiana jones style when another company already has PBB sets for it?
btw, a Jack Sparrow fig would be cool, there is only one problem . . .
they're gonna be peach

if 20 chickens can fit in a brick, how many pingpongballs does a crocodile have to eat so it can swim faster than a washing machine?

Which makes me wonder; Do you think Harrison Ford has tried to collect all of his different minifigs, like all of the Han Solos and all of the Indiana Jones? I know I would if I were him.
Mark Hamill would.

These are awesome, once more LEGO is on route to providing something original and new in a good way. The minute I saw these, my mind was set alight with images of the Elder Gods, Conspiracies and stuff like that. Also, no one seems to have noticed... THE TRIANGLE!

Toy license deals are for specific production years, and they change hands all the time - both Lego and Mega Bloks have had the weird penis license at different times, for instance.
If Lego picked up the POTC license as part of their new deal with Disney, it seems logical they'd do it the same way as the Star Wars license: a couple of sets to promote the new movie, a couple of sets based on classic bits from the earlier trilogy.

I'd be interested in the humans, they look like they'd make good EVC troops.

They look slightly like the hydronauts.
However, judging from these pictures, the new melee weapons look MegaBlokish - uh, a new adjective.
