D: I suppose I'll use them....for...my...whacky 90's room. Maybe I'll recreate Pewee Herman's playhouse?

:D Me too, but a Spaceman Spiff Cruiser in racing red would be better.

Ships Log Update: Construction and re-design continues.

Yet another step forward. The Main Gunnery Deck is done and the Torpedo Tubes mostly in place. The front will be re-designed with ram generators and thicker hull plating and vents and grebbles in mind, but it might add to the length. Oh and the best bit, She's solid now and no longer threatening to break her back when I lift her. Not even a creak.

Image

As she is...

Image

Deaths Head skull on the nose, this feature will continue on the new hull.

Image

The housings for the Main Guns are complete and the Main Gunnery deck is also finished.

Image

The Bridge looks low to me, perhaps another deck is required? The 501 number is with reference to German Heavy Tanks in WWII. Tiger Tanks start with the designation 500+. It has nothing to do with 501stCadians, I wanted to do 503 and I ran out of white bits... honest, IT'S TRUE!

Image

Maybe if I put the skull in the "0" I can say it's an "8"

Image

...anyway, check out the new Anti-Fighter AFHAWK launcher.

Image

Torpedo Tubes are open and Torpedoes ready to fire.

Inside the main gunnery deck.

Image

...and below we have the workshop... again.

Image

The whole front exposed for your personal perusal.

Image

Problem: Warp core housing, big gaping hole when it's ejected.

Image

Not now, with Gaping Hole BegoneTM you need no longer fear for health and safety law suits. The floor slides shut, simple. There will be the same on the celling too, and a hatch.

Tail End Charley, for all those fighters that like to shoot your ass. I like this design personally. I got the gun barrel design from you guys.

...And The Best Bit!..

We have lift off!.. Yeah-ha!!!

Oh man, my favorite part is definitely the fake "ribs" in the center there. A really nice touch.

Thanks guys, the weight isn't too bad. Bad for the model so lots of supporting struts and structure inside that eats up the room but I could pick it up quite easy. I've still to try one handed... maybe later... or not.

The ribs are a small homage to classic space and the Galaxy Explorer. Thanks.
