Repair shop

Here is my crew hard at work heat-treating a blade for a Granite Grinder. The fellow on the left is repairing the rotary thingy on the Karny-Treker mill, the one in the middle is treating the blade with the furnace while the fellow to the right of the truck grinds a crystal into shape.

Nice, I like the lathe thingy. This is good, my kid likes Power Miners and wants me to build a barracks and mining town so I'll be looking here for some ideas.

Sure. When I get a chance to take pictures without the horrible glare. I added the starburst in an attempt to make use of the glare put off by my workshop lights.

It looks like you used flash on a reflective surface, in this case a gloss varnish wooden shelf. Perhaps no background would help eliminate glare.

Actually no flash at all.

That was a grab from a webcam.

I have overhead several big sodium-vap high-pressure lights in addition to tube lights and several smaller spot lights on the machines.

I think it's just the interplay of the lights causing the glare, next time I'll take the pics upstairs in my home-office.

hint, found using a well lighted room reduces glare and shadows, really well
