Finally brickshelf is running..... here are the tracks:

This is from my BMP

With a couple of wheels removed.

The back of it.

This is the MBT track with the armor off, it's basically a longer version. I used a spoked wheels at the end since it was a smaller diameter than the other wheel, which gave the tracks some more slack for it to move properly.

Okay, thank you very much for that, RoC77. That's a really nice design.
I think I just need a greater variety of pieces. I have enough tracks for a tank the size of your MBT, but I don't have the right pieces to put it together. I'll figure something out or finally do a Bricklink order.

One can also build the tracks integrated with the actual hull of the tank. It takes some more trial and error though, but makes the resulting model a little more stable. Though, no other real advantages are accrued from such a setup, except not having to line the hull up with them...

With my tank that I have now, I built the treads first and went from there.
