EDIT: I'm thinking of adding a dumb waiter system instead of the stairs, it will make things much easier, except I'll still have to have a way for the chefs to get out of the kitchen... or i could always make them chained to the stove, constantly having to make food and never allowed out...

Keep these points in mind, they're true for all (?) of the CC buildings:
-The sidewalk is 8 studs, including the curb on the edge.
-The back alley is 6 studs.
-The Technic bricks that form the connection points are placed 10 from the front and back of the baseplate.
-Don't put windows on the sides. it might look good as a standalone building, but CC buildings are directly beside each other, so it would be useless.

Camera for Saturnalia = pictures of stuff!
Here's the house I told you guys about.
It's made purely from the Grand Emporium set, minus the baseplate which looked much better with the outside of the house. The tan one looked better with the inside, but i didn't want to switch the whole thing onto another baseplate just for the inside shots.
A close-up of the bay window, along with the bird bath and the Schnauzer. yes, I made a Schnauzer.
The garage door really opens! Wow!
By the way, those things beside the door are lights, in case that wasn't clear.
Close-up of the front door & path. You can also see the mailbox and lamppost.
Here's the back of the house. You'll notice there's a very obvious lack of windows on this house, I'm not quite sure why.
I had to get creative with the tree, since there aren't many brown pieces in the set, and most of the dark green pieces are windows. his was the result, and I'm pretty happy about how it turned out.
OMGWTFBBQ. I decided that if I was going to build a backyard and patio, a barbecue was mandatory.
Close-up of the back door and garden. I had to get a bit creative with the flowers, but it was actually a really easy solution.
This is what the top floor looks like at the sides. There's nothing in the spaces, so just assume they're windows. When I built this part, I had pretty much used all of the basic bricks in the set, so I went for the decorative look. I like it, it makes the house look kind of Swiss.
Shot of the front door hallway. Yes, that's a coat rack. Also note the decorated wall behind it, and the door to the garage/stairs.
Here's the dining area. yeah, that's it. I didn't have much room to put the table, and this was the best place to put it.
Here's the kitchen. It includes (from left to right) a fridge, a microwave, some drawers, an oven, and a dishwasher. It's got everything but the kitchen sink!
The stairs to the second floor are in the garage, mostly because there's no room anywhere else. Also, I know my cousin's house has stairs to their attic in their garage, so I know it's not taboo or something.
The garage itself is big enough to fit a small car, it's 8 wide and 10 deep.
Here's what the top of the stairs looks like. You'll also see that I went window-crazy on the second floor.
The bedroom with a bed and two nightstands. The one on the left just has a lamp, the one on the right has a picture and drawers.
The other side of the bedroom. The only furniture on this side is a dresser. There's also a nice big window to make it less boring.
You've probably been wondering where the bathroom is in this place. Don't worry, I remembered to add one.
That wall isn't supposed to be see-through by the way. It's my attempt at making a wall of those translucent glass squares that blur whatever is on the other side.
The toilet was another thing I had to get creative with. Luckily, this flower piece fits the part perfectly. There's also a shelf above it.
Bathroom sink, and more windows.
Those yellow thing to the right is just a small unit of shelves.

The interior of the shower, including a hand rail so you don't slip and fall.
The house separates into these four pieces. The roof sections aren't actually attached, they just rest on the top of the walls on the second floor using 1x2 inverse slopes.
