I don't really need one. I work at home and nobody calls much anyway, its just a waste of money for me.
I just like complaining about rabbits.

@OneEye- I've got enough money from selling random bullshit on Ebay to buy an iPad right now. I'm not going to, because hey its just a giant fucking iPhone, but it's Cadian's cash and if he thinks an iPad is worth the $500, more power to him.
Yeesh, am I not allowed to be surprised some highschool kid got an iPad? Cool your jets man. Whether or not he bought it himself, it's still surprising to some people that highschoolers can get things like that. I didn't have my own computer until halfway through my senior year and got a cell phone only in my senior year, too.

And you say I just like to argue.

Although I too find an iPad something hard to get for someone like us, ours and the latest generations tend to get access to technology earlier then the previous ones. But hey, it's his money.

I got the iPad with my cash, saved up for it.

I know i could have bought other things with it, but i bought it for school, not recreation. I need something that's light, durable, and i can take notes on (my hand writing is extremely messy. I don't really see why i need to justify my purchase to you, Oneeye, but there you go.

What the hell is wrong with you people? I'm just surprised people can go out and get things like this when they're like 16, for themselves or as a gift. You guys need to stop being so pissy/defensive all the time.

I mean, I'm only a few years older than most of you and I see kids getting fancy phones and new computers all the time and it's just amazing. I was only in high school a few years ago and most people didn't have things like that. Some people didn't even have a computer in their house. I was lucky to get a cell phone when I was a junior and I was REALLY lucky to get a laptop my senior year. Now I see people with this stuff in middleschool and I'm just surprised and amazed.

And the spoiled thing was because I thought you got it for Manly Santa Day, so I assumed your parents or someone else got it for you (or they gave you enough money to get it). It was a joke anyway, but as I said, you guys need to be less defensive and pissy all the time fr no reason.

That's what I'm talking about. I only just got a texting plan a year ago. Seeing people in high school with like $2,500 MacBooks blows my mind. That's like more than what my car is worth.

Yeah I'm surprised kids have cell phones. The phone its self may be cheap but the monthly cost is high.
When I was a kid it was a big deal to get a wrist watch at 14. My father said "A watch? Where do you need to be?"

You bought it for school? Keep that thing close man, otherwise it'll "disappear" pretty quickly...

I'm gonna agree with Bfenix on that one dude, get a messenger bag or a coat with a big inner pocket or something.

I dunno, if I was going to get a computer for school I'd just pick up a cheap netbook.

We're not old for pointing out your technological privileges. Don't forget how new all of this stuff is.

Yea, the cripple and I are the same age. Whaddaya think about that.

I was talking about this with one of my friends. She's only two years younger than me, but the gap in the amount of technology they had her senior year compared to mine was crazy. I wasn't late in the game for having a cell phone, but when I got mine as a junior, she had hers a year earlier when she was in 8th grade. When I was 13 I wasn't worrying about having a cell phone or my own computer. Now kids are getting all that stuff before they're even in middle school. It's crazy I tell ya.

Yes, it's not like micro-processors are getting exponentially more powerful or anything.

It's still amazing, Bub. I'm not talking about power either, just how young kids are getting all this stuff. I couldn't dream of getting a brand new game console when I was a kid, now some kids have multiple $300 consoles.

Granted, when I was younger my family didn't have any money, but that's beside the point.
