Sorry Prvt Expendable, I'm just too busy to do what you need to do yourself.

The (Intended) Ships crew so far. I'm using Mortals. Immortals, especially maniacs would just use it to ram stuff like planets. Just to see what happens.

These are not my best photo's but the batteries (yes, I did have spares ready and waiting to load. I am very organised when it comes to my camera). But they also seem to be flat even though I charged them only last week. I had to rush through the pics and fluffed a few as a result.

Imperial Marines, for ship security and boarding actions. Note the sexy flack armour. This can also include a small one studd and clip backpack for the holding of larger weapons and grenades/melee weapons/whatever - not pictured here). They are armed differently but it's just to show some options. There all a multi talented bunch. There is far heavier equipment and back packs for full on warfare too, but I think you've all seen them before.

Visors raised, to show their caring side.

Image
The Commander needs a name. Hmm? Patch? Snake? Pliskin?

Image
It's me, with my Ninja Bodyguard and assassin. I'll be the only Immortal on board, maybe.

Image
Pilots, maybe for the two Magog Fighters that I now have or the Heavy Bomber or maybe for the Thunderchild. I've yet to decide.

Image

The guy in front with the red, white and black. That's Mini-Warhead, my son. He wanted in on being on the Thunderchild when he learned I would be on it.

The black and white dudes with the Rebel Star Wars hats are all gunners. Trying for this...

Image

The White guys with the goggles and the knights helmets may be human or Mecha, not sure yet. The Knights helmets are and idea from the old black and white Flash Gordon...

Image

Well, that's the idea.

The Thunderchild is still undergoing construction. Airlock, Point defence and larger machine shop installed. The Captains desk has also been finished but the to do list just gets longer.

Black Life Jackets:

I bought them yellow. I know how to model paint/build so I got to work. I washed them in household dish washing liquid to take any coating residues off them. I then spray painted them matt black, this gives the look but the paint WILL chip/scrape off. I then gave them a coat of matt varnish to prevent this. The end. Nice effect I think you'll agree.

They do look very nice. I wish Lego made those in black now.

Thunderchild: Brik Log, Day Off No: II (This is just a teaser to reward myself for making some progress, I need all the help I can get to keep me going on this monster. As always comments are welcome).

I proceed with the plan.

Image

The forward hull is extended thus making room for an Airlock and bigger Machine Shop for extended voyage self repairs and modifications.

Image

The rear also is revamped and new larger and cooler looking engines fitted. There is also an inspection room for these engines and for Detuning them to make her go that much faster.

Image

Also, not complete but mostly, there is a Warp Core ejection system for annoying days when nothing goes right.

Over all this has extended the length up to 53" and the bitch tried to split open amidships when I picked her up one handed. Two handed is fine, so far, maybe not when it's all complete with the extra weight. But she's a sturdy and solid construction (which adds to the weight). There will be a ton of weapons on this thing...

Image

Weapons planed so far...

It can still ram, ramming spike emitter is still to be fitted however. Or I can drop the ram idea and use the inside for a massive 32 stud super death ray like Natalya but with it's own protective doors.

3x Turreted Double Batteries of Super Heavy Force Cannon.
40x Ship to Ship Sprint Mode Close Assault Missiles
3x Double Turreted Heavy Laser Cannon
4x AFHAWK* Turrets (5x Missiles each) *Anti Fighter Homing All the Way Killers
3x Point Defence Double Laser Gatlings, these can be set for anti missile or anti fighter fire missions.
2x Turrets? Unknown as yet but R+D are working on a long ranged Kinetic Railgun.

They all sound interesting and deadly but no stats yet. If I can get the heavy bastard off the ground I would raise it on reverse slopes and fit another Super heavy Turret and a set of Torpedo Launchers but I'm not hopeful. Perhaps I can fit them along the top deck, hmmm...

Image

But I did get the Captains desk sorted. (No it wont be on the roof when finished).

ACE, are you going to take on natalya's Venus class with that?

I'd love to face the Venus Destroyer (Is it still the Sonks?), or any other Forum Members ship/fleet (living where I do the odds of that are none existent however). Besides it's not yet finished but thanks for the compliments.

I think I have a stronger Broadside than most ships I have seen and recall can manage and I know my point defence and anti fighter defences would make this a tough nut to crack. However, Natalya's Death Ray could crack the Thunderchild, or any other ship here open from bow to stern. The real reason I enlarged her was to justify the Heavy Cruiser class I gave her before taking into account what size and class everyone else gives there's. *shrug*

@Warman, Yup, it is. However, I think it will work out. I hope. I may have to increase the width of the main deck... *sigh* That suckers really fixed in tight so it would be like starting again, but lessons have been learned so some mistakes could be avoided.

@Nightwatchman, when my son has finished with them I'll send them to you. :D

Thanks for your comments guys. :D
