I got a question warhead umm... so you have a LOT of old old Lego and almost no new Lego why is that? I mean if you ARE a big adult why do you not have more new Lego?

Maybe because some adults actually have to spend money on things like bills. Most people who own their own houses and have families don't have money to throw around on little pieces of plastic.

1 new isn't always better
2 some of the new stuff is less versitile than the old stuff with the poops?
3 when you are introduced to something that is your "guage" by how you measure from there on,.. up or down

I've already placed a covert (from the wife, och, I'll tell her... just later) P-a-B order. I love getting new stuff. Oh, and an Black Astro Droid keychain, if it comes off the chain I'll be ordering R2 and the Orange one too.

J+B, I have quite a lot of old stuff as you have said. I've been collecting since I was about 10 years old IIRC, right up until I was in my early 20's. And then I stopped. It wasn't like you guys, you have each other to support your hobby. Anyway, so it all got put away in boxes to only be brought out when my future child/children were ready to play.

I brought it out of storage after I had bought (I mean Santa brought) Mini-Warhead a small Lego set (Clone trooper Walker thingy). He seemed to get the bug for Lego and so got a few more sets over the next two years and since then he has inherited my collection... which I also use. Well, you did ask.

I should have taken a picture before I mixed it in with all my other brick.

Recently my LUG bought a HUGE lot of lego from a person that was getting out of lego. He had sold off most of his full sets, and just wanted to get ride of the rest of the misc stuff. Sold it to us for $2500. Its being split into 10 shares at $250 each. I came home from the last meet with a box easily worth $250, and we have only split up about a 1/4 of it so far. And its all pre-starwars lego.

it does but you have to break the chain. I broke a samurai keychain or something like that.

Can't it unscrew? I have metal cutters and a metal cutting saw so no worries but it would be less hassle.

$50 worth of bricklink, mainly random stuff that was cheap. Lots of black and white bricks and some 1x4x6 windows.

Got 7775 - Aquabase Invasion misb for 49,99 €. That is the most money i ever spent on lego and what an awesome set it is! Soo many good pieces and it will be heartbreaking to eventually scrap the base for parts.

I got my Asteroid Droid from Lego and easily sniped and filed the metal chain off. Then I realised they had glued the head on backwards... so keeping calm in front of my son I composed a short email highlighting my disappointment and as a result I get to keep the reject and they are sending a replacement for free. Who says keeping calm never works, oh, yeah, that'll have been me, huh?

I think he do means astromech droid, as in an R2-D2-like robot
