that's not really a comparison

you can compare the theory of gravity to the theory that time slows with increased motion

but the theory of gravity has evidence.

apples fall towards the earth.
there have been no cases of people traveling at 3/4's of the speed of light.
theres a comparison.

An astronomer could tell you what your weight would be on Neptune, though nobody has ever dropped an apple on Neptune

they can tell you that because they have a idea of what to multiple/divide your weight by.
nobody even understands time.

Well, obviously you don't. Other people do. Stop talking before you get booty bothered from your own ignorance.

Actually Tathing, they do know it to be true and they have tested it. In the 80's I think they stuck an atomic clock at the top of one of the World Trade Center towers and stuck one in the basement, and synched them. They came back years later and found that the clock in the top of the tower was a few hundredths of a second behind the basement clock. So yes, it has been tested and verified via scientific experiment that if you move faster time for you goes slower.

Normally I'm happy to sit back and enjoy watching other people be wrong. But tahthing's posts over the last couple of days are so bad that they cause me acute embarrassment and suffering, which is a violation of the Terms of Service (Item 1 example (e)).

So by rights I ought to ban him to relieve the pain he inflicts on me, but instead I'll just give the following warning: TAHTHING: YOU ARE HORRIBLE AT SCIENCE. Until you go out and educate yourself about the most basic concepts of science and how they actually work, you are no longer allowed to have opinions about them. So in the future I'm just going to delete such posts and convince myself they never happened.

For everyone else: yes, time dilation by both velocity and gravitational potential have successfully been put to experimental tests. The most well-known are listed in Wikipedia:

But if they never happened, what would happen to the relativity of his post count's tachyons?

from what article does that come from, that actually looks quite interesting.
gravitational time dilation?

EDIT: a right, proper time, so that g was acceleration and not gravity as I first thought.
it makes sense now.
Act first, then think, then try to find a way to cover up the horrible mess you made.

since the connection reset, gravity can not be proven this is scientific fact, even though its a universal constant.

cool ship, its inspired me to staart on some fleet tenders/ transport ships. also for grapling hooks, consider the lift ring i believe it can be connected to a chain or more easily to a string. http://www.bricklink.com/browseList.asp ... String=117this would work well as a magnetic grapler.
or you can go (i think) with the reel with technik conectors, and the attachment device of your choosing, grapling hook tow hook or lift ring.

Something on-topic in one of Natayla's threads? Blasphemy!

But seriosly, why is whenever Natalya posts something awesome people just post off-topic things?
