I long for baseplates with mountains and stuff, But For now i must contend with flat ones.

Just a few things off Bricklink. Childhood nostalgia and all. Grew up with these.

Life On Mar's T3 Trike.

Alpha Team's Command Sub and Sub-surface Scooter. I'm looking forward to making use of the power loader.

Ogel's epic Mutant Killer Whale.. I'll have to pick up the accompanying squid sometime in the near future. Particularly useful for USSSR stuff, I think.

And lastly a Jaw-Jaw. For horrendous deaths of all natures.

Except Mars Mission had cool green alien commanders, and Life on Mars had those little frog-people that Rayhawk abuses in his Momentum gameplay examples.

I've never actually seen it done, or how it works, but from what I understand: Duplo briks are compatible with the standard ones.
They can be used as either filler, or hollow (but LARGE) terrain.
If anyone has some pics to show this, I'd really like to see them so I can get some ideas.

If you have three of these; it would make a great place for a convoy to defend against ambush.
It would also look cool if you wanted to conduct some trench warfare or bunker-busting. Job opportunity for indirect fire weapons or flame throwers!

True! I might have to pick up a few more, as I only have the one at the moment. Not only for those purposes, but also so that there's actually a complete river. Hehe.
