Hey thanks guys. Latest measurement was at 54" but I want to make the nose a little bigger to fit two Ram Generators and vents and stuff to the front, maybe even widen it out with sloped plates. It's beginning to look out of proportion to the main decks.

I had another idea last night and so set to work. I'm waiting for some essential spares and so I'm just dicking around messing with stuff and generally getting annoyed and a little frustrated that I can't get on with it.

The Warp core now has power, with the aid of an LED and power pack. See what you think. I'm not sure, I think I need another LED bulb down there, it needs moar. It's also hard to get a photo. No flash is weird and with the flash on it's pointless, you can't see the LED light.

It looks alright through that blue screen, perhaps you could wrap that around the led?

Hmm, well, I have blue, red or yellow bulbs so, yeah, I'll give it a try. I liked it best through the trans blue too. :)

Warman, cheers! Glad you like it. :D I upped it to two bulbs and I think it's even better. most of the stern is done, just waiting on those damn spares. I got a confirmation that they were shipped on the 22nd, so maybe tomorrow..?

Ok, you asked for it...

Image

Options. Oooo, purty lights!

Image
Image

Blue option. Looks cold but kind of spooky... sort of.

Image
Image

Red option. Fire! Fire! The Warp cores on fire! It conflicts with the trans neon green something terrible.

Image
Image

Yellow option. It's just like the bare white bulb except it doesn't shine as bright through the trans blue window.

Image

Option Green, the other pic didn't work out. It's a bit mehh. Too much like the Trans Neon Green to show up.

And just because I had the camera out and I'm photo daft. Here are some shots from the stern of Thunderchild.

Two more engines are proposed for just above engineering.

I just can't help but take some more pics, hope you don't mind... Ah, sod it, why should I care if you mind.

Image

See what I mean about the front. It needs something. I was thinking like a flared out section like a spear tip that could hold the Ram Generators.

I'm thinking you have more Lego than me. If I had done the Venus with a white AND black hull though like you've done, I could have made it this big, but I didn't. The colour scheme it has now is more Assyrian-like. But this way I was able to build that Redemption frigate for the Space Ninjas so I don't count it as a loss.

When building I've always split the construction between two colours for that exact reason, whatever you don't have in one colour you normally have some in the other.

Pfft, Natalya, in no way could it ever be considered a loss. Your stuff is awesome! For heavens sake don't you get it? The Sonks inspired this. I'm trying to take part and maybe be considered good enough to be here or at least to justify it to myself, and not just to be accepted for my barmy childish antics. Although, that works too. :D

Anyway, Natalya, you might be more interested in what I've been up to this morning... :)
