Normally not more then .. (thinks) $150 but this year I did a bunch of saving (as in for Lego only purposes) and got a bunch of jobs over the summer so I have spent at least $300 so far and $200 of that was done all in one week(Brickfair). Every other year its been way less. I would attribute this years loot thus far to getting more jobs then I normally get over the summer and therefore more money then ever before.
OneEye is just sore (like always) because I acquire Lego at a astronomically higher rate then him either because I spend more of my earning on Lego or find better deals (idk). He will probably go on a tangent about how I get all the money form my parents (which I don't) but I will give him this I did get one set this year form my parents a $30 Prince of Persia set I used for the brick draft at Brickfair.

(and no this was not checked for spelling or grammar errors so have fun with it boys)

Actually, over the past year I've probably spent over $500 on Lego. I get the money by having an actual job besides mowing lawns though. I just find it funny that you waste it on $12 torsos and a billiondee flower pieces.

I'm not really annoyed, I just find it sad that you can spend all your money on Lego when I have college supplies, doctor's bills, and other expenses to spend my money on.

I confess that I shop lifted most of my early teenage Lego, a vast amount over a few years and never got caught, Mwah-hahahahaaha! My biggest stolen set was this....

But if anyone is thinking of doing the same I have some advice, don't. Unlike me you are not an urban ninja and a master of misdirection and slight of hand nor do you have a vestigial marsupial pouch.

I got most of my Lego before I started buying a couple years ago from my grandparents. They had a huge box of it and they split it up between the grandkids when they left for Florida. Then I got Lego magazine and maybe got around $30 worth a year when I was a little kid from my parents.

I once got an entire

out of a gamestop once. Granted it was hectic due to release day, but i had no bag and that thing is fuckin huge.

OMG, that was my first lego set.... If I remember correctly the back opened up too......

I'll admit, I stole my first lego set as well. At the early age of 9.
I remember what set it was, but I can't find an image, and I lost it about a year after getting it.

EDIT: I just found it on Bricklink.
