I went to see Brickfest yesterday, and though I only got there an hour or so before closing time I managed to see and photograph a lot of stuff... so...

This was only part of the gigantic medieval army arrayed along the back wall of the Castle display room. We didn't see much Castle stuff, unfortunately.

This beautiful tan SHIP was built by Dan Rubin. It has some incredible exterior detail, but looking through the windows it seems he hasn't done much interior work yet.

A cool-looking tan dropship. I like the use of curved railings as ammo belts/rocket racks/whatever.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3393951
A neat-looking starfighter.

More by Dan Rubin including new Galactic Inquisition light fighters. It's a good thing for the rest of WAMALUG that the Galactic Inquisition doesn't play Brikwars. The giant fake asteriod won Best Spacecraft.

Assorted RAMM vehicles.

This awe-inspiring Gundam mech won Best Mecha.

This guy had an ENTIRE TABLE of various armored vehicles, helicopters, and ships. This was my favorite of the ships, armed with a bunch of small missiles, a minigun, and four large missiles. All of the weapons fold into the deck or superstructure for concealment. (The small missiles are currently folded.)

More vehicles and infantry -- still the same guy.

Carter Baldwin was one of the most helpful people to comment on my first Classic Space MOC posts. Here are some of his armored vehicles and infantry.
Take a close look at the post-apoc snow diorama in the back. That's his as well.

Another Carter diorama, this time showing a post-apocalyptic battle in a destroyed city. Pictures can't capture the full extent of detail and action in this one.

A Dan Rubin diorama -- Galactic Inquisition troops advancing under cover of rocket fire.

This immense Blacktron ship had pneumatic-powered hangar bay doors. It held the four fighters shown below (they folded up to fit inside).

A series of MOCs called "The evolution of the V-Wing" showing how the Republic V-wing evolved into the Imperial TIE fighter. Personally, I believe that the TIE fighter was designed by Lucasfilm.

This SHIP was designed to carry racing tanks -- vehicles designed for no-rules races in hostile environments. Shown are a Blacktron and Mars Mission tank. This would probably make an excellent Brikwars scenario.

M-Tron snowspeeder. It can carry the cargo pod on the right with the help of a magnet.

The LEGO agents evil fortress. The helicopter thingy could use more work, but what kind of brikwarrior can resist the lure of this many lava bricks? Also, GIANT LAZOR!!!111!!!!!!1!!!!11one

The old Republic Gunship set had to be my favorite LEGO kit. The re-release has firing missiles, a more detailed drop pod, and new minifigs. The small speederbike on the far left of the screen is also part of that set. It's a pity the set comes with Clone Wars Movie Jedi instead of the massive load of clonetroopers and droids it did last time.

LEGO Stratego.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3394009
The new chess set. Only $199.99!

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3394010
Steampunk airship.

A large BrickQuest layout.

And last but not least... my pirate fleet now has its own gallery. Although there isn't much there you haven't seen already.

oh god, what I would do to own that blacktron ship.
ANYWAY, I'm REALLY dissapointed in the new republic gunship, its like, $150 and they took off the awesome-ass side turrets! Those were my favorite part!
but god damn, do those clones look awesome, made even-moreso by the fact that you can customize them.

Yes, but there's only two of them. The old set had four clones, one Jedi, 2 super battle droids, and a droideka. This just has two clones and a bunch of Clone Wars characters.

What do you mean, Brickfest? Do you mean Brickfair, or Brickworld? I'm not aware of any Brickfests happening... but just a day or two ago Brickfair started. I think that's what you're going to.

Ahh, sorry, it was Brickfair.
