XR-74 'Jackrabbit'

The XR-74 'Jackrabbit' is a light fighter intended for capital ship protection and interception. Armament includes two small V8-S Laser Cannons under each wing.
After seeing countless SNOTty starfighters coming out from nnenn, Gambort, and many others, I decided to make one. Here is my attempt, called the Jackrabbit because of the sort of ear-shaped stabilizers (check the other pics for a better angle on these). It was good fun trying to get the wings slanted in line with the canopy when building it.

Yes, I know the engine isn't much. I can never think of a really good idea, so I just slap on some circular things and some trans.

Top view. It may not seem like it, but a minifig can squeeze in sideways. It just looks ridiculous.
That's all, bubs!

I like it. The engine fits the look perfectly, even with the simplicity. Maybe some red Technic pegs sticking out of those holes instead of just the lighter grey ones?
It's kinda weird to have the ship's cockpit like that and not have a minifigure fit inside, though. I'm sure it was tough enough to give it that look even without the room for a fig.

Thanks!
And OneEye, I've never seen red technic half-pins.. *searches Peeron*. Nope, no red. I wish there was one though, that's a nice idea.

Awesome work. The angled wings are a technique I've always been afraid to try. How do you do it?

That's quite nice. It's also well photographed, which gives it extra points.
