I told my wife to pick out some nice things for herself or I would just buy tons of LEGO with our wedding money. She did not pick out nice things for herself.

This is awesome, but speaking as the voice of experience, she may use this as leverage the next time she wants something. You have been warned.

Most likely, yes. However, I see you managed to get her interested in Brikwars, so it is possible her interest in the game may diminish the effects of said leverage in your favor.

Those are very nice. I need to get a new one eventually. These days I spend more of my time using my NWSL Duplicutter and Chopper tools (hobby "rip" cutter and mini knife miter saw respectively, for working with styrene and stripwood - I do model trains and tabletop wargaming as well as Lego stuff).

Book loot from my trip to Montréal.

First, I went to see “From Africa to the Americas: Face-to-Face Picasso, Past and Present” and “Here We Are Here: Black Canadian Contemporary Art” at the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts. Picked these up at the exhibit bookstore:

Second, there was my usual excursion to the Canadian Centre for Architecture bookstore:
