Well kids need crooks for the cops to catch, and black and grey morality is not something that develops at an early age - in some respects the sp/blacktron dichotomy was the precursor to every single team A versus team B style action theme that was ever since released.

What's more suspicious is that for something usually very mellow and kid-friendly as their themes up to that point, the B1 designs were hella dark and downright sinister!
