EVEN MOAR SHIPS!

Image
Overall shot of the fleet. You can see some new frigates and fighters as well as a new destroyer. The Tiger Shark is the only ship remaining from the first incarnation of the fleet, and the Nurse Shark from the second series of the fleet is still around as well.

My favorite of the new ships is the Lance Frigate, which replaced the Rail Corvette as a long range beam and missile platform.

The Defense Field Frigate uses the same big machiney assembly as the Lance Frigate.

Infiltrator frigate. Because everyone else is doing it. Probably needs more work; yes, there will be another update.

Resource Frigate. It mines asteroids and transports them back to the not-yet-constructed fabricator ship. It can also accompany warships on commerce raids to haul the loot home.

The new cruiser. Better than my last one, but there's still room for improvement.

Sorry about pics. I thought my camera's lowest quality setting would be low enough. Apparently it wasn't.

Thanks Kidko and Pesgores. The main image is now smaller. Warman: I like the designs but I'm not sure the white nose cones work too well with some of the ships. I see you fixed that in the thread you posted.

Much better. Thanks.

I like the Defense Field Frigate. Do you use these for battles?

Oh, and CreatioNZ - Change your sig! It is way to long!

They all have stats, and there will be a battle this weekend. Although the Resource frigate won't be used since I don't have a construction ship yet.

Nice, I like the pentagonal shape.

I don't really want constructor or resource units for this game; it's the first game using these rules and I don't want to make it long and overly complicated. I should have a carrier/constructor ship built soon enough.

I just remembered something,
why do we humans like putting the most important part of the ship,
the bridge,
in the most vulnerable area,
the front.

Its just stuipid

What would you put in front?

A buncha shields. (If you look at it, most ships don't have their bridge in front.)

Seriously though, how come we can't put it in the middle?
