Nope, I loved power miners. I bought so many sets. That giant drill thing and the crystal king were da bomb.
Gah I love all that lime green.

The Lime Green Rock Monsters were the best sorta minifigs ever. I wanted the Crystal King, the Thunder Driller, and the Crystal Sweeper.

Rock raiders were cool too, especially the video game.
But power miners are also nice.

I don't believe I was alive when Rock Raiders was around, but Power Miners is supposedly a spiritual sequel.

The crystal king/infernus is my boi, kicking ass and taking names as early as 2010:

Geez, I just realized I haven't fielded the poor blighter since 2012... guess I'll have to fix that.
Anyway, PM was a nice theme. I still want to get the thunder driller one day just for that warlock sorcery of a gear mechanism that it uses.

I know what you mean about the gears. When I built the drill part and turned it for the first time I let out a "No way!". It's pretty darn cool.
