BrickWarriors just released three brand new items to help outfit your castle armies:
- Flamberge
- Kettle Helm
- Dirk
They are currently available in black and steel, but as always, we may add more colors later.
Enjoy!

Those look pretty sweet. The Zweihander is cool but the Dirges really sell this.

The swords are kinda dumb, the knives approach decency, and the helmets are pretty cool.

I went to a country house from the 1400s the other day, and they had an armoury room with a load of weapons hung up on the walls. There were quite a few wavy-edged short-swords and although they are a bit silly-looking Brickwarriors' ones aren't far fetched or anything. Perhaps if you could hold them with two hands it would make them seem more legit?

I'm not an expert, but I think the wavy part on a sword is to widen wounds or to give the sword more weight.
EDIT:
Did my homework (google and wikipedia) and it looks like the waviness is for decoration. Wikipedia also said it was useful for combat but that was literally all they wrote.

The limited research I did while designing this seemed to agree with your original statement about the wavy part widening wounds without adding extra weight to the sword.

gotta look fresh when you're sawing your neighbors in half with a sword
