Damn, put me down for some more technic sets lol. Anyone know of any more classical brick based designs?BFenix wrote:Really big mechs mostly use turnable mechanisms for joints, like this one:
Negative. I already was looking for these, but most giant mech constructions I saw make heavy use of these turntables.dilanski wrote:Anyone know of any more classical brick based designs?
I can confirm this. Having tried pretty much any other sort of brick-based articulation out there (since I haven't ordered any of ^these^ yet) the turntables are your best option. The brick ones that provide the friction necessary for the support of larger limbs and maintain balance usually require some chopping or using rods in bricks that aren't designed to take them, it's pretty ghetto, but sometimes it works (I used them for the Nimrod's weapon-arms). But still, turntables is the way to go when going big.Duerer wrote:Negative. I'll have to put in a few bricklink orders then when I am finally reunited with my lego.BFenix wrote:I can confirm this.
