Knights castle kingdom torsos.

Post by motorhead fan » Wed Mar 09, 2016 3:39 pm

Hello, I come to you with a problem and a question:

You are probably aware of the problem with minifigs which is when their arms go floppy, this is usually when the sides of the torso get scratched.
This is a rather annoying problem as they can't really hold weapons any more. The usual solution to this is to give the minifigure a weapon which requires 2 hands.

However, I have these two knight figs with worse: their sides aren't scratched as far as I can see, however, their arms are REALLY floppy, worse than usual floppy.
They are disturbingly limp.

Here is one of them.

All you have to do is move them and the arms roll around loads.

I have another fig with the same torso and his arms are fine, I'd like to buy replacements for these 2 though, my questions are:
Does anyone else who owns these torsos have this problem? Is it possible to fix it?
Should I just buy torsos from a different castle theme?

Have you tried using different arms?

put some nail polish around the arm hole for increased friction.

Are these real lego torsos? I remember the bootleggers were having a field day with this specific torso pattern.

Come to think of it, that torso print does looks a bit off. Maybe it's just the lighting?

Was it from a battle pack? I'm pretty sure those were made in China, so they could be lower quality.

Also the looseness isn't from the torsos being scratched, it's from being cracked. Two very different problems. :rtfm:

But the nail polish fixes that too but creating a thin surface with more friction. I have done it and it works.

I've found that a bit of wax works wonders for this issue.

Go to a craft store, buy a block of beeswax, apply liberally to the posts on the arms and insert into the torso. This USUALLY works, for a while, anyway. Alas, if the torso is cracked, this is a temporary fix. :P

Is there a crack on the torso? I've lost a shit ton of torsos myself due to bigass cracks on the side of the torsos.

I have a small army of these guys (Which I will be posting in armoury soon) and I don't have these problems.
