I'm about to complete the powerpack for the Leopard 2 model - thus, the next course of action will be to make the instructions. Here's my question: Would you rather me produce the Leopard 2 kits as a private venture, or would you prefer if I made a deal with a certain 3rd party custom Lego kit company? While it may be cheaper if I were to conduct production alone, it would take a LOT longer for me to source all the parts, print off instructions and stickers, design the box art, and to garner attention for my product. However, if I was to go with a company that already has a market and an audience, the kits would sell (albeit for a higher pricetag), and all the complications I mentioned above would be, for the most part, negated.
If you are to reply in this thread, please do so with constructive, tasteful advice. This is my first time conducting a venture of this sort (heck, it's the first business venture I've ever done as an adult!) and I wish to be informed before I go about making this decision.
Sincerely,
Connor Querin
P.S. This does not apply to the instructions for my previous Leo. 2 iteration - I only need to verify that my PayPal account is functioning properly!

Re: A Question Regarding my Leopard 2 Model
How much experience do you have when it comes to production and distribution? Running your own business can bring you more money in theory, but it can also bring in other expenses (such as supplies for sticker printing), and take up a lot of time. If you have someone else taking care of it, you'd be avoiding these expenses and you'd be able to focus your energy on other projects.

Re: A Question Regarding my Leopard 2 Model
What is the guess at a final price?
How many people really buy tank kits at that price?
How much money could you realistically make vs how much time invested?
How much money do you need to spend just to start up?
Can you afford to lose it all and sell none?
Do you really need a printed box? You could save alot of money by not doing that.
If you can afford to lose allofthemoney and get nothing for your time investment and be ok with that,
then you should definitely do it, because you will get alloftheexperience!
