Fan Vote for Lego 90th Anniversary Set
Lego is holding a vote to choose the theme for a 90th anniversary set to be released next year.
The vote is going to be done in three stages. The first vote is to choose the top three themes from a list of 30 classic themes.
Think I'll be voting Classic Space, Blacktron and M-Tron. How will you folks be voting?

Wow. Those are all pretty much the sets that were out when I was a kid. If I decide to vote it likely would be this:
Pirates/Imperials (IMO, some of the coolest sets ever made. They're pretty much the same.
Imperials might be slightly better.)
Aquazone (Maybe we could get another set with a GTC)
Adventurers (These sets were always fun)

I also voted for Dragon Knights, plus Adventurers. Then I had a mundanity attack and cast my third vote for Town.

Got to go with Blacktron, obviously, but after that it's a tough call. I picked classic castle for nostalgia's sake and ice planet for more OTCs.

Another reason Brikwars is the best AFOL community: no votes for Bionicle
(Rock Raiders, Adventurers, and Classic Castle)

Re: Fan Vote for Lego 90th Anniversary Set
I had predicted Bionicle, Classic Space and Lion Knights making it to the second round.
Still salty about the fact that the Samurai/Ninja theme wasn't in the running, likely because Ninjago is still around.
I voted for stuff that I though would be good for armies. (Imperials, M-Tron, Black knights)
Also, I feel like a lot of bionicle fans don't understand that a bionicle remake is going to use the same construction style as the reboot that they already tried.
Ah well, it's still a fun contest.

Made a quick break from my hiatus just to prove you wrong.ninja_bait wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 2:44 pmAnother reason Brikwars is the best AFOL community: no votes for Bionicle
I voted for bonks, Time Cruisers and Ice Planet.
Seeing all these AFOL boomers' allergic reaction to the possibility of Bionicle getting a commemorative set is pretty jarring to see, especially if you consider that Bionicle was for a whole generation of kids what Classic Space or Castle was to them. And yet they push the narrative that Bionicle fans need to be shunned from the greater Lego community as if they were especially toxic compared to "real" lego fans. I'm pretty sure that most Bionicle fans realise that winning the vote won't mean another reboot but rather having a nice homage to their favourite line they grew up with that Classic Space, Castle or Pirate fans already get once in a while. And if that would mean that we'd get minifigures of the classic 2001 line-up, I'm all for it!

Welp.
BIONICLE is currently winning the 90th anniversary LEGO fan vote
At least Classic Space made the top three.

Re: Fan Vote for Lego 90th Anniversary Set
The final vote is open. And they've changed their rules, there's now four choices: Bionicle; Classic Space; Pirates; and Castle.
Castle was out of the top three, but they decided to include it because all of the "castle-y" themes together added up to enough votes to get in the top three.
Dunno what this will mean for the final vote, except that I suspect that Bionicle won't make no.1 this time.

There will definitely be many more space voters too, they didn't unsplit that vote. So I'd guess it's down to Castle vs. Space. As foretold by the Great Builder!

I'm not too surprised to see those themes in the top four. I voted for Castle, but I won't be disappointed with whichever one wins.
